Trucks and SUVs can be some of the most fun projects to work on. Because they can pretty much take you anywhere, letting the imagination run wild. It’s all that much more fun when the SUV is all-new and a PHEV. We had the pleasure of developing the new creative platform for the launch of Mitsubishi’s flagship Outlander PHEV. We celebrated the class-leading PHEV, which allows drivers everywhere to outlast, outsmart, and outmaneuver so they can GO ALL OUT in the all-new Mitsubishi Outlander.
NISSAN CAPABILITY
Not many people know about Nissan’s 60 years of hardcore, off-road heritage. Especially the part about winning an off-road rally in 1972. In the iconic 240Z sports coupe. So we created a 360 campaign to remind them. F. Gary Gray (The Italian Job, Fate of the Furious, Straight Outta Compton) directed this adrenaline-fueled trip through time, and Nissan brand ambassador Brie Larson told the story from behind the wheel.

ARMADA LAUNCH
You wouldn’t know it by looking at it, but Armada is Nissan’s most capable off-road vehicle. Proven in the brutal sands of The Empty Quarter but appointed with every luxury, it’s a sidewinder in sheep’s clothing. And the perfect vehicle for a relaxing family road trip. With not a road in sight. Rupert Sanders (Snow White and the Huntsman) directed the hero TVC with an entirely real-life cast, that led a 360 campaign showing off Armada’s unique ability to tame the wild.

PATHFINDER LAUNCH
When it hit the off-road world almost 40 years ago, the Nissan Pathfinder was a game-changer. Packed with legit 4x4 capability, it ushered in a new era of go-anywhere, do-anything adventurers. But in recent iterations, Pathfinder lost its way and was relegated to mall-runner status. We set out to change that opinion, launching the all-new Pathfinder with a 360 campaign that connected it to its rugged roots. David Leitch (John Wick, Atomic Blonde, Deadpool 2) directed the hero TVC.

As a challenger brand in the truck category, Nissan needed to find a white space for its new Titan. So we mined the insight that Titan owners are “titans” themselves, known for reaching out to help others. Partnering with the American Red Cross, National Parks Foundation and Habitat for Humanity, we created a brand anthem directed by Shawn Levy, and a 360 campaign to amplify the message.

It was a daunting challenge: Create a national, 360 campaign to convince consumers that the new Altima Is the most exciting sedan on the road. We answered it with an epic, two-day, immersive activation and pointed cameras at every moment of it. It was a huge risk on an unscripted idea. But we believed. We created an integrated 360 campaign around an exclusive behind-the-scenes experience, complete with a mobile radio studio. The campaign included branded long-form videos, sweepstakes, and yeah, a series of radio spots voiced by Blake.
